Originally got into photography as an assistant for a wedding photographer during college. After graduating I branched off on my own as a "professional hobby" and enjoy building my personal portfolio as well as occasionally shooting events and weddings.

To date I have shot numerous weddings, events, and portraits - even to include a few congressmen. However, I am interested in building a portfolio of images that are not event oriented (that is, less to do with telling a story and more to do with expressing a single theme, emotion, or style). My type of photo is edgy and high contrast. I try to do this more by virtue of the set up than back room post editing. Partly because I want to be true to the art and also partly because I like the challenge.

So the reason I am on Model Mayhem is to meet and perhaps collaborate with similarly motivated individuals.
