As a photographer you spend many hours and years building your technical expertise and knowledge base. In this time you photograph anything and everything. Over time you come to specialize with your subject matter. In 2007 I found myself shooting a wedding somewhat against my will but it was for a friend. It was to be for the first time I was to photograph people that weren’t engaged in action sports. I found that photographing people was what I was really good at. My understanding of lighting and technique derived from all the other subjects that I shot led me to provide a quality portrait. I am here to learn and gain more experience in photographing the human form. I want to excel at the fine art portrait.
