As the founder of Kitsch Trading Co., local wardrobe stylist Sandra Antoun seeks to provide an opportunity to recreate people's closets with their own items, bringing forth attires that match the upcoming fashion seasons. Furthermore, she ventures to offer the voguish-at-heart--no matter their style-sense--a dash of her discerning taste for timeless, sustainable ensembles tailored to each individual.

Antoun grew up in fashion-forward Los Angeles, surrounded by a family of artists and musicians who were deeply rooted in fashion and creativity themselves. Combining the mixture of her Middle Eastern background (as well as an enlightening trip throughout Europe), she decided to take her knowledge of espadrilles and spandex to the next level, and help the rest of us to find our inner catwalk.

Possessing a fresh, chic eye for incorporating designer and vintage apparel into everyday life, Antoun states, One of the most exciting highlights of my work as a stylist is that I get to discover new and fantastic finds, such as Classically-sustainable platform pumps, apparel from incredibly-talented individuals, and mascara that's capable of achieving that perfect Hepburn look. My mission is to share this knowledge with every single one of my clients, and ensure that he or she walks out the door looking like a million bucks, but spending less than a hundred!
Some future projects that Antoun has been hired to style, in the next few months, include a fundraiser at the Driskill Hotel, celebrating Mirabai Wagner's new clothing line (a collection which includes hand-molded plaster and body paint). Sandra is also producing a show debuting designers from LA, Texas & New York during SXSW 2011. She has also been asked to consult and dress Ed Kowalczyk, former lead-singer for the musical group Live, for both his debut album photo shoots and a DVD Living Room series, to be locally-filmed in January. Most recently, Antoun has been hired by the producers of 2010's Zombie Ball: Waltz of the Flesh to style, advise, and market the Halloween-themed couture fashion show.

I feel incredibly blessed to be working in Austin, striving in my business as a wardrobe stylist and image consultant. I know in my heart of hearts that this is my purpose in life, and am fortunate enough to finally and confidently say that I am talented at what I do, she remarks.

Warren Buffet once said, The way we present ourselves to the world is how we feel about ourselves. If you have a hard time figuring out how to dress, hire someone to help you. No doubt, Antoun fulfills this role, fearlessly and with vigor.
