My passion for photography stretches back for as long as I can remember. I have always had a “natural ease” with a camera in my hands, feeling that it as an extension of myself and this in turn reflects upon the people whose special moments are captured in my photos; allowing their true emotions to be displayed in a relaxed and genuine way. Formal training began with the Photography Program at Sheridan College, allowing for a serious ‘reality check’…nothing brings you back down to Earth and in touch with your own humility than thirty of your fellow classmates critiquing your work!

Over the years, I have retained my love for film, even throughout the emergence of the digital age and believe that it still has a place in modern photography. As an avid camera collector, I have amassed over sixty different types and formats, do all my own b&w processing and still work in a darkroom. Equally adept with modern, cutting edge photographic tools, or ones dating back to the 1940’s, I can offer the client a unique, one-of-a-kind experience. I approach each shoot that has been entrusted to me knowing that it requires its own personal touch. Experience gives me the perspective through the lens but, more importantly, the understanding that it is your story being told in the images.

My love for everything photographic is infectious, I guess, as my wife and two young sons would probably attest to; as they are quite often found with a camera in their hands, or more so, in front of the lens!
