About Me

According to a new survey, women say they feel more comfortable undressing in front of men than they do undressing in front of other women. They say that women are too judgmental, where, of course, men are just grateful." --Robert De Niro

After a few years of taking pictures of my gorgeous friends, burlesque
dancers and even asking beautiful strangers off the street I was
finally nudged by a friend to try Model Mayhem. I do take pictures of
kids, weddings, and concert events (I even photographed a polka band
once), however, taking pictures of models is more of a creative outlet
for me and is my preference.

I'm focused on exploring how my techniques as a photographer can
transform the end photograph; as you know, the same pose shot by two
different photographers can give radically different results. Besides
working with my SLR camera, I also like to work with vintage film
cameras. I'm fascinated by hands so you'll often hear me asking you to
use them in your poses. I'm not shy about giving direction from time
to time; I won't leave you wondering what to do.

I like working on photography that projects a story. Now, I could sit
you down in front of some pretty lighting in a chair but what I'm
really striving for are locations, locations, locations. A few
projects that I would like to work on are located in SODO, Georgetown
and the Capitol Hill area. I'm looking to do the following in the next
few months: Seattle rooftop, Hotel shoot at the La Hacienda Hotel
(Think 60's Mad Men vintage)

I have worked with a makeup/hair artist and I do have my own
collection of vintage clothing, jewelry and props. Much of the
wardrobe and props you'll see in my MM portfolio are my own.

I'm open to your ideas, as I'm looking for new locations, cranking out
new ideas for outdoor projects-I don't let bad Seattle weather spoil
my photo taking, it can present wonderful opportunities! I ask that
your on time and be professional. I take mental note of what works
well and what does not, and want to make sure that whatever we do is
within your comfort level. If something is not working, I'm happy to
try something different.
