Hayyy theree! My name is Chelsea Schumacher i am a rising artist in the Hair Industry... Since my early toddler years i've always been in close contact with art. First with crayons, then onto markers, paints, oils, sculpting, which ever the medium, i was always creating SOMETHING. As the years went on i decided to switch my paint brushes to color brushes and makeup brushes and my white canvases to human hair and flesh. I have been a licensed Cosmetologist for over 3 years in the state of CT and am currently working as a Senior Stylist at a highly educated salon in Hamden, CT called LiVolsi Personal Image Consultants. (www.livolsisalon.com) My reasoning for joining Model Mayhem is that i would like to seek side work such as hair and makeup for photo-shoots to build a fabulous portfolio for myself to have for future reference and also to help models and photographers build their own too! Everyone has to start somewhere, and if we all help each other out, we can all get there! My ultimate goal is to get to perform work displayed on the Red Carpet and basically get more in touch with editorial work such as magazines, commercial ads, etc. I'm aware it won't happen over night but i'm not going to give up until i get there.
