(EvO)******EVOLU ALEEM SEHMIER****** (EvO)

(Born November 04, 1990), better known as EvO, is an
Indian/ Haitian singer, songwriter, actor, dancer, instrumentalist (Violin- Guitar- Piano) gymnast, martial artist, model, visual artist and poet. He is considered “A Jack of all Trades" an all-around entertainer. His diverse style of singing blends Neo/soul, Contemporary R&B, jazz, gospel, hip hop and some World influences into one harmonic bliss. Born and Raised in Miami, Florida, he developed an early interest in mastering the art of the Performing as well as Visual Arts. Enrolled in various Performing art Schools, Evolu was first introduced to Musical Theater. Continuing on his training through his school career, he then picked up the styles of different instruments and soon was exposed to acrobatics.Aleem's creative, innovative yet edgy "ancient" image began to soon rise in higher recognition to the public eye. His "Dare to be different" ensemble began to spark curiosity about his day-to-day inspiration; his muse. Aside from his original refreshing fashion sense, Evolu has carried his passion for the arts on his sleeve through the years. Debuting his artistry, Mr. Sehmier first appeared in Immanuel, in 2001, a gospel based play portraying the birth of baby Jesus. In 2003 he showed up on an off-Broadway stage play of The Lion King, and then later appeared again in two more productions in 2004; Tap Dance Kid and Aida. Spiraling in the excitement of his career, he began to obtain lead roles such as Travis in The Raisin in the Sun, in 2005, and then participated in Fame, in 2006. 2007 was the year Aleem began touring overseas having the honor to be a part of the International Fringe Festival in London, Europe and Edinburgh, Scotland. Taking on the tragedy/comedy gospel influenced musical Godspell.

(I would be considered an all around entertainer. I love to Model but my passion is mainly the performing arts industry and my goal is to one day concur each field that it consist of. I've been studying in Musical Theater for about 8 years now and GOD willing i will be able to continue my endeavors for the next 8 yeras. This Session captures the "Lion" in EVOLU AVATAR at its best. It circles around the modern day urban life of the "The Wiz" a jump off of the The Classical Fantasy "The Wizard of OZ". "Quality Over Quantity" Studio Album
Evolu's upcoming studio album "QOQ" is causing a lot of anticipation to his fans. We caught up with Evolu and asked him about his upcoming album, he responded " Im very excited about this album! It really shows the controversy and self struggle that goes through everyone's mind that a lot of people have a hard time expressing. It has an organic and relatable feeling to it. Im just happy to be that voice for those who are afraid to speak." This Guy is to modest and humble and we're excited for him and his journey. GOOD LUCK EVOLU!!!
