I host the Dr Sketchys SW Florida Branch in Punta Gorda, Florida. I have been drawing/sketching since I was old enough to hold a crayon and have studied watercolor under Sue Pacheco-Miller for nearly 15 years before moving to Florida. Lacking Inspiration and wanting to do more with my art than the typical Florida Landscape pictures I turned to one of my favorite artists and learned of Dr Sketchy's Anti-Art School.

Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art school is the world's premier alt.drawing movement. Artists draw glamorous underground performers in an atmosphere of boozy conviviality. Found in 2005 in a dive bar in Brooklyn, Dr. Sketchy's has now spread to over 100 cities around the world by Art School Dropout and Model Molly Crabapple. It is far from your typical drawing class, the drawing sessions are about opening your mind, pushing the envelope, encompassing the model’s personality and uniqueness, engaging contests and having a fun time. It is what happens when move a boring Anatomy Drawing Class to a trendy bar and add a dash of Cabaret! While the models are not nude, they are certainly interesting. Our lineup is to include contortionists, body builders, belly dancers, house wives, pinup girls, cosplayers, body builders, roller derby girls and more!

I host a monthly event in Florida where live models pose and myself and other local artists all draw together. The Dr Sketchy Models I am looking for exist in a zone between muse and professional athlete who can work hard and are creative artists in their own right, that deserve admiration, respect, tips and applause. I am looking for Models (Men, Women, Transgender) who have a unique look (which can including costuming, theme and or makeup) and who can sit still in a posed position for up to 20 minutes while modeling for our drawing sessions. Our poses vary from very short 1-2 minute poses to longer 10-20 minute poses.
