»A perfect retouch is a retouch you do not recognize«

I am Claudia Jay from Germany and I call retouching something
that is connected to photography in a strong way.

Retouching belongs to the creative workflow as much as developing
ideas or taking pictures.

But a good retoucher is just as good as the pictures he get from the
photographer. Although we call ourselves Photoshop wizards we
cant perform magic. If the quality of the non-edited picture is bad
then we cant create perfection.

Dont call retouching a digital phenomenon. I used to retouch in
the dark room as well. Today my dark room is Photoshop and
I dont feel bad about this.
