If beauty is in the eye of the beholder then it must have been designed by the hands of Katrell Mendenhall and her beauty staff. In 2008 Katrell created her own buisness, as a true reflection of herself; confident, creative, passionate, and encouraging. Katrell fell in love with modeling as a teen. She has graced the covers of magazines, ripped the runway of New York Fashion Week, and toured as a model with Ebony Fashion Fair for 3 years beginning at age 19.
The trendy fashion forwardness and flashing lights of photo shoots transformed Katrell into a self-taught master in the art of makeup as she did her own makeup as well as her counterparts. Doing make up became second nature for Katrell while working for MAC Cosmetics and pursuing a broadcasting career, where she had to learn to do makeup for TV. Unfulfilled with the world of broadcasting and maximizing on the experience of working for MAC Cosmetics, self-employment was the only way Katrell envisioned her livelihood. “I started getting so busy with weddings and photo shoots that I knew it was time to step out on my own,” said Katrell. Her compassion for helping boost women’s self esteem and skill of illuminating the skin drove her to make her dream a reality.
Katrell’s vision of beauty and makeup is far from vanity. “Beauty can only be measured by you. It’s confidence in knowing who you are and embracing all that you are.
