Hi! I'm Chey! Creator of Beauty by Chey :)

I have been doing makeup for almost 5 years and has a strong passion for it! The ability to transform someone into what they envision for whatever type of special occasion they have to attend is something very special to me. I love the freedom that comes with it. Seeing the look on a happy clients face never gets old!

I started doing makeup for my friends in high school and realized how much I loved it right after I graduated. I excelled especially in costume and wedding makeup. Later on I took a job at Macy's with Benefit Cosmetics and helped the company for over a year, doing countless makeup applications and honing my craft. Focusing on foundation matching, contouring, highlighting and especially eye makeup- I wanted to soak it all in! This job opened a lot of opportunities to work with Brides and Grooms to be preparing for the big day to come. I started working with photographers on engagement photos and eventually was doing makeup for Brides on their special day, even some Grooms!

After working for Benefit I decided it was time to be more creative in my skill and focused on all different sorts of costume and FX makeup. This is still my favorite makeup to do because of the endless possibilities! I have experience ranging from sugar skulls to porcelain dolls. I also had a year of experience with airbrush tanning and will soon be offering that service! along with Up-dos.

Makeup isn't just something fun to play with, its an art, its a passion and I feel it in my bones! I love this craft and as long as I love it I'll continue to pursue the dream!
