Since beginning my sculpting career in 2000, I have completied more than 50 public art commissions. Clients include The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, The US Olympic Committee, The US Air Force Academy, the Cities of Beijing and Shanghai, Metro Goldwyn Mayer and 26 American universities and colleges.
I have sculpted portrait busts of movie and television icon Dick Van Dyke, media mogul Ted Turner and poker super-stars Phil Hellmuth, Annie Duke and Doyle Brunson.
I majored in Fine Arts at The Ohio State University and Advertising Design at The Columbus College of Art & Design. I taught art classes at The University of Akron, where he also served on the Board of Advisors for the College of Fine Art.
I built a reputation as one of the most award-winning Art Directors and Designers in the country, including a Gold Award in the prestigious Broadcast Design Art Directors’ International Design Competition. His clients included IBM, General Electric, Husqvarna and Siemens. I have also designed several original typefaces and am a published cartoonist.
An accomplished musician, I worked with such noted performers as Simon and Garfunkel, Jonathan Edwards and The Main Ingredient before pursuing a career in art. I also played with music icon Jimi Hendrix.
In 2003, I was honored by the US Olympic Committee and named Official Sculptor of both The US Olympic Team and The US Olympic Committee, the only artist in the history of the US Olympic Committee to be awarded these honorary titles.
I am a Colleague of the National Sculpture Society, a Member of Allied Artists of America and The Portrait Society of America and currently work in my 7,500 square-foot art studio in Cornelius, North Carolina.
Since I am a figurative sculptor, I am frequently in need of models.
