Apparel Jam Visionary, Monique Dass, a Bajan Born Designer, has just launched her NEW site, www.appareljam.com . Designing for a little over one year, Monique has managed to catch recognition and attention from several celebs. She is now making her collection available to the public.

She initially became interested in designing as a hobby, but was inspired by her family to evolve her hobby into a business and a career. Her first collection debuted in August 2010 in St.Vincent and the Grenadines. Designing Sunglasses and Accessories from handbags to hats, Apparel
Jam does it all. With a small collection of customized apparel pieces for men and women, you are sure to stand out in a crowd.

She has since designed for many celebrities such as Snoop Dogg, Austin Anderson, Dirty Money, Amber Rose, Eva Marcille, Lil Zane, Truth Hurts, Omarion, Juelz Santana, Mary Mary, and many more. “I rocked Monique’s Sunglasses for a photo shoot and Ioved the look. It was different”, states Juelz Santana.

Monique’s company, Apparel J.A.M. , was named after the two most important people in her life: her mother and her sister. J stands for Jestina, her mother’s name; A represents her sister’s name, Akeela; M is for Monique herself. J.A.M. Apparel J.A.M is fusing the American culture with a touch of Harajuku Tokyo street fashion. This style is illustrated through vibrant neon and metallic colors and transcends a melody of unique western-asian visual kei that is increasingly popular among our generation. “Monique’ s collection is fly”, states Celebrity Publicist, Lynn K. Although Monique is relatively new to the fashion industry, her passion and desire to create unique clothing has enabled her to create a name for herself within the industry.
