ABOUT MONSTRUOSITÉ
Monstruosité, a hand crafted millinery brand, can best be described as a dark fairytale. Every collection takes you on a journey through a deeply thought out story and concept. From the materials to the styling, every detail has a meaning and reason for being, which is why this millinery brand is constantly evolving. When you wear a Monstruosité hat or headpiece, you know you are part of a bigger story.

Monstruosité was established in 2010 by designer and creative director, 23-year-old Dolly Donshey, after studying the art of hat making under renowned milliner Jan Wutkowski, alumni of the Melbourne School of Millinery in Australia. Since inception, the brand has been featured in publications and media around the world, shown on the Nolcha Fashion Week: New York runway, and worn by celebrities, such as, Sasha Pieterse, Carmen Electra and Kendra Wilkinson.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER: DOLLY DONSHEY
With a natural inquisitiveness and tendency to jump head first into new imaginative ideas with little thought and far too much enthusiasm, Dolly Donshey, a New York native, woke up at 19-years-old with fashion running through her mind. On that day, Donshey set out to a new journey and she hasn't looked back since.

“Starting a fashion business became etched in my mind, it was all I could think about and I just knew it was my path. I didn't know where to start, but I knew that I wanted to create something beautiful with my hands. I wanted to experience the process and understand the ins and outs of the business," stated Donshey of her induction into the world of fashion.

After researching different avenues of the fashion industry, Donshey stumbled upon the world of millinery and immediately fell in love. That summer, Donshey studied the art of hat making under milliner Jan Wutkowski. Once she returned to her home in Florida, through trial and error, Donshey's millinery brand was born. Since that day in 2010, Donshey has created 6 millinery collections, the latest being, 'The Rise of Ostara,' based around the pagan celebration of spring. The now 23-year-old, Donshey, has no plans to slow down and is only beginning to reach the greatness of her creativity.
