Im an artist. All my life I've expressed via canvas and paper. But I've realized you can also express through your own body. Modeling is more than just standing infront of a camera and posing, every shot tells a story and the job of the model is to convey that story across to the viewer.

I've only had one modeling experience, and it was with a fantastic photographer. During the shoot we built off each other, both being artists and having shared many art classes together in college. Moreso there was a story behind the shoot. She had found out my husband had just deployed overseas. I had married him before he left, and was now somewhat trying to find my own strength again after having my soulmate sent off to a dangerous country. She offered to do a shoot, free of charge for me and set everything up. She didnt tell me I'd be only wearing a curtain wrapped around my bottom half and have my arms to cover my top until a few days before the shoot, but I was willing to do something a bit risque and freeing. She found an old abandoned house that had be ravaged by a fire a few years ago, people had moved out but teenagers still came by to use the house as a place to drink, smoke and write grafetti. When I first saw the house I bonded with it, I made it more than just a house, it was a representation of me right now: a beautiful home, strong base, but torn by things out of its own control. I have a very keen sense and ability to put myself into someone or something else's shoes. I can convey the environment, a person, an expression and I think thats what makes for a great model.

*note I will bring someone with me to any new photo shoots. Nudity done tastefully like in my photos is an option. I'm not ready to show anything until I have been modeling more.
