About Me

Born and raised in beautiful Los Angeles, I have a varied background reaching from Pro Audio to Culinary Arts. After trying out jobs as a music journalist, audio tech (film, tv, as well as theater), and professional award winning pastry chef I finally found my calling...Styling!

Graduating from the Alexander Hamilton Academy of Music, with a double major in Technical Theater and Video Production. I entered the entertainment industry while still in high school, I wrote my first full length feature screenplay in 10th grade and spent the next few years gaining attention at local film festivals, such as Angel City. As well as working as lead audio tech in theater productions.
While in high school I was given an internship working directly under Reuben Cannon (Producer/Casting Director) where I was very happy and learned more than I ever could have with out Reuben, the most amazing boss I've ever had.
I then spent some time at UCLA before dropping out to work at Urban Outfitters full-time as their Studio Services Laison. I then left Urban Outfitters to explore the world of Journalism at Larry Flynt Publications, where I was involved with such magazines as (the now defunct) Big Brother Skate Magazine, Filter Music Magazine (Online Journalist), (the also now defunct) Pulp Magazine (Executive Editor), and of course Hustler.
I soon left LFP (Larry Flynt Publications) for travel. When I returned I decided to try culinary school. So, in 2006 I enrolled in San Diego's prestigious International Culinary School at The Art Institute. Graduating with honors, I earned both a degree in Culinary Arts as well as a B.S. In Culinary Management (a business degree). I then went on to gain many awards and certifications in the culinary world such as my Professional Chocolatier Certificate.

After taking time off after graduation I got bored with cooking as it never really completed me so I decided to fulfill a life long dream and learn to sew. I enrolled at Mesa College in the fall of 2010 where I took the class that would change my life...Styling for Fashion Photography.
I am currently still enrolled at Mesa and continue to find new and exciting opportunities and experiences.
I can work with any photographer but I do prefer to work with photographer Lauren Perkins as we tend to understand the balance between her vision and mine.

I would love to get the chance to do some actual editorial work as far as styling. Really I just love working and want to do it as often as possible.

Having such a diverse background I do everything but click the button. From casting to location scouting, from styling to setting up the crew and I love it all.

I my ideal job is one with a budget, but I am a very creative and resourceful gal and can work on no budget at all.

I love art in all it's forms (as demonstrated by my varied work history and education). I make a lot of my own props for shoots and am currently styling San Diego underground band Authentic $ellout in conjunction with The San Diego Derby Dolls. Having such a strong culinary background has made be an excellent food stylist as well and my journalism experience makes it easy for me to accomplish just about anything.

I also run a fashion and lifestyle blog on Tumblr.com called Stylegeist ([email protected])

I am also available and willing to work on fashion shows in any capacity, I feel it is important to understand all sides of the fashion industry in order to insure my skills stay polished and competent.

My ultimate goal is to be an editor at a fashion magazine such as Nylon, where I can be edgy and artsy which is a reflection of who I am.
Other than that, I like to run a tight ship but our shoots are always fun. I enjoy Rock Band, Karaoke, art shows, the ballet, painting, shopping, writing, event planning, reading, and networking.
I am also a DJ in my spare time.

Four things most people don't know about me:
1. I am also an amateur model
2. I want to move to New York more than I want to live
3. I'm constantly falling in love. In love with people, things, places.
4. Je parle un peu francais

Thanks for reading!

Feel free to text me if you wanna work! I don't get on here everyday, like I should, so this is the best way to reach me, even more so if you have a deadline. 310.383.6632. In the text just let me know you're an MMer, your name, job (model, MUA, etc.) and the date you're hoping to shoot.

Cheers,
C.
