About Me

Erin G. Wesley's passion for Photography and Film was formed out of her love of storytelling, fashion, music and all things creative.

Her work is described as, "images deviating from the norm" and "pictures that capture the essence of spontaneous energy". After reviewing her photography, it is evident that she indulges in just as much fun as her subjects. In event photography especially, it is important to encompass the talent of bringing excitement and comfortability to the subjects.

One couldn't deny her passion for photojournalism, but she also expresses her desire for directing and photographing fashion and music related shoots. In addition, she has recently developed a niche for photographing events. Her most recent projects include but are not limited to the BBM Lounge 2010 VMA Pre Party, Diesel/Mad Decent Block Party and Cobrasnake's Endless Birthday. During Summer of 2010 alone (her busiest and most productive work period to date) she's had the pleasure of photographing and/or filming Theophilus London, Semi Precious Weapons, Ne-Yo, Peaches Geldof, Jamie Foxx, Jeremy Scott, Akon, Flo-Rida, Ninjasonik, Eva Pigford, Mark Salling and several more notables.

Photographing events in other people's lives gives Erin inspiration, but the best moments to capture come fron her own life stories. Experiencing joy, triumphs, love, heartbreak, fear, etc. have contributed largely to the photographs she has created. In addition, artists that inspire her work range from world renown photographers Andy Warhol, Sally Mann and Ansel Adams to modern photographers Terry Richardson and Kesh. Film directors Spike Lee, Melina Matsoukas and Vashtie are also major influences.

When asked what she sees herself doing in the next five years she responds, "Traveling the world and telling the stories of different people and cultures, seeing my work printed on world renown magazine covers such as National Geographic, Vogue, Nylon, Times, Interview, GQ and Esquire, creating music videos that capture viewers with meaningful story lines and inspiring thousands... or even millions... Hey! I'm shooting beyond the stars here!"
