I am an multi-award winning photographer who has been active with photography since junior high school, about 60 years. and I have been teaching photography classes on and off since 1980. I taught basic photography and advanced photography classes for adult community education for 7 years. I now teach photography classes and studio lighting classes at WorkShoots in Grand Rapids.

I'm not looking for dates since I have been happily married for over 45 years to the same woman. I have two adult children and four grandchildren. I'm not a "Guy With Camera" trying to get women naked - I am very serious about my creative photography. I am very concerned about line, form, curves, and contours. I have an excellent understanding of light and how to control it to emphasize contours through the use of highlights and shadows.

I have photographed models since the mid 70's and like to work with new talent. Besides providing a new model with experience and portfolio photos, I can give pointers and guidance in posing and in working with photographers.

I am not a "Professional" photographer since I do not pay my bills from my photography. In the past, I had pursued weddings, portraits, seniors, families, sports teams, etc as a part-time photographer. Now, I am in photography for the creative adventure and my passion for it. A large portion of my photography over the past eight years has been in portfolio work for models and in international competitions. I work with models to build portfolios on a TF basis in all genres from portrait (head shots) & fashion to implied nudity & figure studies. BUT, I do realize that not all models are comfortable with that wide range of genres. Therefore, I tailor each shoot to the genres and poses that the model is comfortable with. The model's comfort level is extremely important to me and I will never knowingly suggest anything that takes the model out of her comfort zone.

I have been an award winning photograper in Michigan for several decades and world-wide since March of 2012. Now that I have retired from my vocation (technical), I have more time for my avocation (photography). In very early 2012, I re-entered international photographic competition with good success. I have had my work exhibited multiple times in 42 countries on 6 continents, including as of July 14, 2017:

I am listed in "The 2012 Who's Who In Photography". "The 2013 Who's Who in Photography", "The 2014 Who's Who in Photography", "The 2015 Who's Who in Photography", and "The 2016 Who's Who in Photography" editions published by The Photographic Society of America (PSA). I am recognized by PSA as a 5-Star Exhibitor in Color Photography, a 4-Star Exhibitor in Monochrome Photography, and multiple star Exhibitor in four categories of Pictorial Prints (7-Stars in total). PSA awarded me its prestigious Proficiency Distinction (PPSA) in May 2014.

I enjoy photographing landscapes and the adult female. Whether a rolling landscape or the curves and contours of the female form, I like to capture the beauty of God's work.
