Hello, and Thank you for taking the time to wade knee deep into the self musing, visually disturbing, eclectic meandering that I loosely refer to as my Art.

My name is Mike Nevera, and I have lived in Southern Oregon for most of my 57 years. My wanderlust has taken me many places on this planet, but I always seem to find my way back home.

My interests are as varied as my work and although I have had many careers, Photography is fast becoming my passion. Sadly I have taken just as many blurry, overexposed, rainbow pics with the Pentax Spotmatic as everyone else. My Photography took a more professional turn in 2006 when I tried doing the weekly ad for my wife's Lingerie Shop (after all I had a camera, how hard could it be?) As you can guess, it was a little more difficult. With time, many talks with the ad guys at the local paper (thank you Bob!), and countless hours of You Tube tutorials, my work began to improve.

As much as I would like to proclaim myself as a genius, my reasons for joining the Model Mayhem Community are to; perfect my craft, network with like minded people, be inspired by the vast array of talent, and let my work be judged for what it is.

One or two of you may have noticed my conspicuous absence. maybe not. in a fit of frustration I sold the farm, closed the studio, baught a hippy bus, and moved to the top of a mountain in the john muir wilderness. had a great time photographing bears, and eagles, and marmots, and landscapes, and stuff. It was a wonderful three years but now i'm back. I reopened the studio, upgraded my camera and studio equipment, got the band back together with some new faces, and i'm gonna give it another go. Even thinking about renting out the studio or hosting a local camera club. Not sure if there is any interest please message me. Anyway I should have some new stuff out to you real soon so stay tuned. same bat time , same bat channel.
