Candice's art has everything to do with interacting with the enviornment that surrounds her. Her ability to connect with those around her, whether in her second home of Vienna, Austria or in her favorite city Chicago, plays a huge role in her identity as an artist. People and humanity are what make our lives vibrant, which is why Candice enjoys painting important and inspirational figures such as James Dean, the Dali Lama and Anthony Green in her art. She has been painting since she was 5 years old as a hobby and as she has grown and matured so has the style of her art. Art has always been a hobby for her and came naturally as something that helps her relax and reflect on her life journey.

As the years have gone by it slowly became a side-job as she started taking requests for portraits from friends and selling paintings to those closest to her. Her paintings are filled with dramatic shading and subtle but emotionally charged bursts of color that reflect the personality and strength of her subjects. Art isn’t just simply replicating a person or moment in time but being able to see and portray the beauty and personality that one cannot find from just a superficial glance at an object or person.
