About Me

About Me:
I'm an experienced Professional Photographer based in Boise, Idaho. Photography is my passion. Photographic Specialties: Formal and Environmental Portraiture, Modeling, Headshots, Fine Arts, Weddings, Seniors, Sports/Action, Black & White, Fashion/Glamour, Parties & Events, People/Lifestyle, Photojournalism, Family, and Travel photography. I also teach basic to advanced level photography classes through my business DreamCatcher University. Lastly, I also run a Destination travel photography business, DreamCatcher World-Wide Destinations.

For paid assignments, I will use either a studio, set the shoot at an appropriate location, or in the proper environment, depending on the needs of the assignment. For TFP, I normally only photograph in interesting locations or in the environment.

Formal Training:
My formal photography training was in Boise State University's Fine Arts Photography Department and at the prestigious Rochester Institute of Technology's Professional Photography program in Rochester, New York.

Equipment:
I use the latest digital professional level Canon cameras and lens.

TFP & TF/CD:
While I prefer paid assignment, I understand that less experienced models often need to build a portfolio of quality images. I do a limited number of TFP shoots per year with the "right" models.

Guidelines:
- I like to keep my shoots light, easy-going, and fun, but focused.
- For both experienced and beginning models, I expect your behavior to be professional.
- Be professional; on time, committed, ready to work.
- When we are shooting, cell phones are not allowed except during breaks.
- Have more than one pose/expression.
- Have clothing to wear that fits the style/theme of the shoot.
- I believe in a collaboration of ideas.
- If I have not worked with you before, we would need to do an initial interview.
- Be up front with your level of modeling experience, so there are no surprises.

Nudes:
I do not need any nudes for my portfolio, so I would only shoot nudes if you require them for your portfolio. We would need to sit down and discuss this, before I would make a decision. Prior to the start of the shoot you would need to present identification to prove that you are 18 and older. This document must be an official government issued picture identification document, like a driver’s license, etc.

Having a professional level camera does not make you a photographer. It is your experience, education, passion, creativity, and your photographic eye, that makes you a photographer. I am a Photographer.
