I started taking pictures when my sister and brother-in-law gave me a 35mm camera when I graduated elementary school. I worked on the school newspaper and yearbook in High School. My first professional job came when I was 17 and started as an apprentice for a local freelance photographer and began shooting local events and assisting at weddings.
After spending four years traveling the world and shooting pictures while in the Marine Corps, I settled back in Maryland. I went back to school to study advertising design and photography.
In 1994 I started my own business photographing weddings, doing school portraits and photographing pets. I also spent time in the Carribean documenting medical relief efforts for non governmental organizations. Gradually, my business expanded to include food and architectural photography for advertising. I am now branching off again into glamour/fashion/beauty photography.
