Hello!

My name is Jonathan Taylor. I reside in Berkeley, Ca. I like photographing various subjects, however my main focus is portraiture - working and collaborating with people. I studied the techniques of photography and darkroom printing while attending the Art Institute in San Francisco and Laney College in Oakland. Most of my current color images are by way of digital camera and processes. My beginnings in photography stem from film base cameras using mainly black and white film. I enjoy the hands on feel of developing film and taking care to set the tonal values of my images through the printing process.

I currently work as a freelance photographer doing portraits and head shots. I've also did a photo project for an office space with the City of Berkeley, and some of my portraits have been part of group shows in local art spaces and galleries. I look forward to develop further as a photographer who can deliver satisfying portrait images to people.

I want to join Model Mayhem because I feel it is a place to meet people of like mind, and make contact with professional and up and coming models to help me create a portfolio of images that can be useful in my fine art and commercial interest.
