I am an award-winning, published makeup artist and body painter primarily based out of the Portland, Oregon metro area. I work in a variety of mediums, including print, stage, film, and special events. I offer makeup services in beauty, high fashion, avant-garde, conceptual, special effects, and whatever else can be thrown my way. I have worked with many high profile clients, and on all kinds of productions from low-budget short films to network television shows.

I have been a working artist since 2007. My background is in theatrical performance and art history, but I have studied a wide variety of fields including emergency medicine, sculpture, and history which gives me a fairly comprehensive knowledge bank to draw on when designing and applying. I began my professional career in beauty and high fashion, working with a number of modeling groups, and quickly expanded into film, theater, and haunted attractions. I have continued to hone and refine my skills over the years, and in 2013, my work was recognized with two awards, including the Portland Fashion and Style Awards Best T.V./Film Makeup Artist. I have continued to advance, working with major companies on commercial print work, large-scale feature films, and network T.V. shows.

While my portfolio on Model Mayhem is limited to 15 pictures (I have not yet seen justification for the paid membership), a larger and more varied selection of my work can be viewed on my website - www.dsdfxstudios.com. As well as having several static galleries available to view, I have also included links to my film work as I gain access to them.

While I am not opposed to trade work on principle, I do not generally accept unpaid bookings. Makeup artistry and body paint is my career, not my hobby, and every time I agree to work without pay, I am not actually working for "free," but rather spending money to work. I support myself in this industry, and I hope you can be understanding that I am unable to accept purely collaborative offers. With that said, I am open to a wide variety of projects, and always love to meet and work with new people.

I check my messages on Model Mayhem sporadically, so please feel free to message me here, but understand that this is not a high priority site for me and I book primarily through my website. While I am based out of Portland for the most part, I am currently residing in the Spokane Valley, WA area for work. I am unable to accept bookings in Portland or Seattle at this time. I am working on a show that is filming for the next six months and will have limited availability until October. I will still be accepting bookings, but on a case by case basis.
