From weddings to runway shows for icons such as Michael Costello to celebrity icons such as Robin Thicke & Paris Hilton to special occasions and private lessons; she’s constantly artistically creating a new person with her brushes and palette bringing out the best in her clients every time.

As a freelance makeup artist partnered with Motive Cosmetics, she wishes to cater to the worlds needs, either big or small and show the world the exquisiteness and inventiveness in her passion. Not limiting herself and her talents, Mary-Ashanti specializes in makeup artistry and hair styling, exceeding the basic lashes, and lipstick applicants, but also incorporating looks inspired by and similar to bridal and haute couture, glamour,commercial, stage and only the fiercest runway looks.

Since the age of eight, Ms. Mary-Ashanti herself decided to wear blue lipstick and play in makeup, designing looks in the mirror, and embracing her eccentricity and distinction. She’s accumulated international runway shows, editorial photo shoots, weddings, live performances and video shoots under her belt, and can also add instructing at a cosmetology school. She is wanted everywhere, with her clientele vastly growing.

Mary-Ashanti has become an iconic figure, blessing and inspiring the world to embrace their beauty, and embrace what makes them an individual. When asked how and why she continues to pursue this passion, she states, “I stand for creativity, individualism and team work. I believe the more struggle, the bigger the opportunity you have to put in work and become whatever you want. My passion is creating statement images that will stand out and inspire.” Not only does she strive to help bring people to this realization through her art, but also how she carries herself. She embodies originality, touching those immensely.
