Nicholas Anthony Martin, born 16 of March 1979 to Ashley John Martin (British) and Inger Kathrine Fusdahl (Norwegian). Nicholas grew up in a small commuting suburb called Harestua 40 km north of Oslo, Norway. From a young age it was obvious that this blond haired eccentric boy would grow up to explore and create. Nicholas started his life interested in photography and sports, by the age of 13 Nicholas would get on his bike with his walkman and explore his surroundings, as a part of this story Nicholas suddenly showed up at his mothers work in Oslo for lunch, and after he biked to his grandmother and back home. The trip is more than 100 km. It became obvious that there was no stopping this young man. Although Nicholas’s stubbornness would see him through some hardships throughout his youth, Nicholas's taste for beauty and details did not limit to his love for art, soon it became his trademark throughout his teens. Nicholas always had the quick to just stand up and leave when life came knocking at his door. This careless attitude forced Nicholas to turn to his inward self, which in turn started him off on his real creative journey, but at the age of 20 Nicholas would work or hide behind his camera at every social event, only to come out of his shell after a drink or two.

After 15 years abroad Nicholas returned to Norway to face his old demons and settle down as an artist, Nicholas’s first major breakthrough came in 2013 after Nicholas joined the rank of Norwegian artists that had exhibited pictures in a New York Gallery. After his first exhibition Nicholas began to concentrate only on his art and creative voice. His uncensored feelings and loud mouth opinions often landed him smack in the middle of arguments. Nicholas's pictures will be exhibited at the gala Opening of the Angel Orensanz Foundation for the arts at 172 Norfolk street, New York City, after his images will continue to be exhibited at the See Exhibition Space at 26-19 Jackson Avenue, Long Island City, from July 29th through September 10th.

Relationship's never were Nicholas's strong side, his imagination and need for a more spectacular and dramatic world subliminally pushed him away from every woman he had ever loved and almost away from his Family. Nicholas famously stated "to create beauty you need to yearn for it, having beauty makes you effortless and lazy"

When asked if he ever had been in love he replied - I am still in love with every woman that has ever loved me, things could have been different but it is my longing for that feeling again that drives my creation. Do you think you will ever find the one? The one does not exist in my life, and before I can find peace in my art I cannot give love to another. But I have loved many times, my stomach still turns when I think about the women in my life. Are you ever lonely? - I think that this is a lot about me, but we are here to talk about art not me.. But yes every day, but I like being melancholic.

So where do you go from here? "Forward"- Nicholas replays before he smiles and walks away in to the dusk where he came from.

Nicholas startet sitt liv interessert i fotografering og idrett , i en alder av 13 hoppet Nicholas på sykkelen sin med sin walk-man og utforske sine omgivelser, som en del av denne historien dukket Nicholas plutselig opp på hans mors jobber i Oslo for å spise lunsj, og etter syklet han til sin bestemor og hjem. Turen er mer enn 100 km. Det ble klart at det var ingenting som ville stoppe denne unge mannen. Nicholas sin stahet ville se ham gjennom noen vanskeligheter i sin ungdom. Men Nicholas smak for skjønnhet og detaljer begrenset seg ikke bare til hans kjærlighet for kunsten, snart ble det hans varemerke gjennom tenårene. Nicholas hadde alltid raske bare stå opp og forlate når livet kom banket på hans dør . Dette uforsiktig holdning tvang Nicholas til å vende innover. Dette ble startet på hans virkelige kreative reise, fra alder av 20 år ville Nicholas arbeide eller gjemme seg bak sitt kamera på hver sosial begivenhet , bare for å komme ut av skallet sitt etter en drink eller to.

Etter 15 år i utlandet har Nicholas kommet tilbake til Norge for å møte sine gamle demoner og bosette seg som kunstner. Nicholas første store gjennombrudd kom i 2013 etter at Nicholas sluttet seg til rangering av norske kunstnere som har utstilt bilder i et New York galleri. Etter at hans første utstilling begynte Nicholas å konsentrere seg bare om sin kunst og kreative stemme. Hans usensurerte følelser og høyt munnene meninger ofte havnet han midt i smørøyet av argumenter. Bildene til Nicholas bli utstilt på galla Åpning av Angel Orensanz Foundation for the Arts ved 172 Norfolk Street, New York City, etter vill hans bilder fortsette å bli utstilt på See Exhibition Space på 26-19 Jackson Avenue , Long Island city, fra 29 juli gjennom til 10 september.

Forholdet var aldri Nicholas sterke side, hans fantasi og behov for en mer spektakulær og dramatisk verden dyttet ham ubevisst vekk fra hver kvinne han noen gang hadde elsket og nesten borte fra sin familien. Nicholas kjent uttalt "For å skape skjønnhet må man lengte etter det, å ha skjønnhet gjør deg uanstrengt og lat"

Da han ble spurt om han noen gang hadde vært forelsket han svarte -Jeg er fortsatt forelsket i hver kvinne som noensinne har elsket meg, ting kunne ha vært annerledes, men det er min lengsel etter den følelsen igjen som driver min skapelse. Tror du at du noen gang vil finne den ene? -Det eksisterer ikke i livet mitt, og før jeg kan finne fred i min kunst, kan jeg ikke gi kjærlighet til en annen. Men jeg har elsket mange ganger, magen min fortsatt vrenger seg når jeg tenker på kvinnene i mitt liv. Er du noen gang ensom? -Jeg tror vi skulle snakke om kunsten, ikke meg, men ja hver dag, men jeg liker å være melankolsk.

Så hvor går du herfra? -Fremover svarer Nicholas før han smiler å forsvinner bort i skumringen hvor han kom fra.
