My name is Olivia Morley and make-up is my passion. I got my start as a cosmetician with Rexall which gave me the chance to attend beauty schools for Revlon, Covergirl and Pupa Milano. These opportunities helped me increase my knowledge and made me realize how much I loved working with make-up.

It was then I decided to enroll in the Eveline Charles Make-Up Academy where I received my Make-Up Artist Certificate in 2010. After that I was hooked and quickly looked for a new challenge. I found it in Vancouver at the Blanch MacDonald Centre where I tried my hand at air brushing, cosmetics retail, fashion and runway make-up, special effects for TV and film and prosthetics. I graduated from the Global Make-up Program in 2011 and since have been busy with photoshoots, weddings and personal consulting.

While in Vancouver I worked on student films and Footlight Production’s Wizard of Oz at the Micheal J. Fox theatre.

In early 2012 I took on the role of key make-up artist for the Bridal Fantasy 2012 fashion show in Edmonton. I had the chance to come up with the looks and act as team lead. There I worked on special guest Rene Strauss, host of Slice’s Beverley Hills Bride.

When I moved back to Edmonton I took on a position as make-up artist at Eveline Charles Salon & Spa where I assisted Cheryl Jones, the head make-up artist and spa director at Eveline Charles for the 2012 Spring Promotional ads. While there I was chosen to work as head make-up artist for CTV’s Mother’s Day Makeover Special where I made over two lucky competition-winning mums.

In addition to my regular day I have had several bridal parties booked and have a steady flow of photoshoots planned. One of the most recent ones was a sugar skull shoot at Edmonon’s Capital Exposition.

Right now I am working toward membership in the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE).

In the future I would like to be doing makeup full time and someday have my own salon and spa where you can come and get the royal treatment without the price.
