About Me

My passion for photography was ignited in 1970 when I began documenting the vanishing culture of the Otomi Indians of Tlacotlapilco Mexico. This spark was quickly kindled and expanded to include explorations of fine art photography. In my quest for self-expression, I explored special effects films and processes, image compositing, and macro photography. My exploration continues today using the tools of digital photography and editing.

My passion for multi-image began when I first saw a multi-screen slide show in the de Young Museum in San Francisco in 1972. I immediately understood the power of animated images with music. Here was a medium that spoke to the heart first; that engaged the viewer on a visceral level.

My present work is an exploration of who I am and my relationship with nature and spirit. When my art is most successful, it provides a portal for others to make that same journey for themselves. I do not seek to explain how things are, but provide a tableau of imagery that encourages the viewer to voyage into the realms of their own mystery.
