I’ve always held a camera since I was young. I shot for the yearbook and was the editor for my senior yearbook. Later I went to college and there discovered my true passion for art and love for recreating of a scene. I dropped out of college to work as an Operations Manager for Eastern Corporation and didn’t use a camera much during this time.
Later I moved to Charlotte, NC to become a realtor but grew tired of the idea and decided to become a painter. I was shooting my girlfriend for fun as well as bridges, waterfalls and other things, but I wasn’t serious about photography yet. I eventually moved to New York to pursue my painting career and brought only the things I needed to survive with.
I didn’t like the postcards being sold in New York so I started to shoot cityscapes to email friends. Eventually I started to sell a few of the pieces of wall art to New Yorkers and decided to spend less of my time doing painting and more doing photography. I was dating a model from Louisiana who really inspired me. After the first time we visited New Orleans I knew it was a place I could live and spend the rest of my life.
Before moving to New Orleans, I took a year off to do some soul searching and study art independently. I finally moved to New Orleans on May 1, 2010 with the sole intention of becoming a photographer. I spent the first 15 months building a new book with some connections and started marketing in the late fall of 2010.
