Hey there. Thanks for stopping by to look at my work. My name is Briana. I grew up in a small town close to the Indianapolis area. I have dreamed of being a model since I was a little girl. I can clearly remember sneaking into my older sisters' room before I could even read to steal their "Seventeen" magazines. I would spend hours in front of the mirror recreating every pose in the magazine that I saw from my role models Brooke Shields, Reese Witherspoon and anyone else lucky enough to pose on those pages.

At the age of eight my mom gave in to my pleading and let me participate in a Christmas runway show that was taking place at a mall near my home. That opened up a whole new love of modeling to me.

Although through high school I did not do much to pursue my passion for modeling I did not loose my desire to walk a runway or be the lovely centerpiece of a picture.

I now attend school near Chicago, Illinois and live at home during the summer. While at school I have collaborated with several aspiring photographers. I have posed for the senior portfolio of an art student Madeline Black. I posed for a final photography project by Lauren Lawson. My last modeling experience I collaborated with a freelance photographer, Benjamin Bibriesca who has done much work with high fashion photography. I have gained experience, and began to build my portfolio. I hope to begin a career in modeling in the next couple of years as I get more opportunities. I look forward to working with some amazing people through Model Mayhem. I find modeling a lot like acting. To be believable it must be genuine. My favorite thing about modeling has always been that it is acting with your body, because no voice is heard. You must sell the idea using your eyes, facial expressions, air, and environment. You must be conscious of everything you are doing with your body, but act as if you are doing the most natural thing no matter how absurd. I look excitedly into the future as I remember my 7 year old self leafing through fashion magazines and vowing to one day be in those high heel stiletto shoes. I anticipate ambitiously the modeling opportunities in store for me.
