Hey There! Im Melissa Thurber and love working as a photographer. It is my passion and I want to do it for the rest of my life!! I started taking pictures of my kids with a regular point and shoot and everyone use to tell me how awesome those pictures used to come out (with no editing). So I decided to borrow my mother-in-law's Pro Grade camera and take some headshots of my daughter because she wanted to get into acting and modeling!! I had such a blast shooting with her and the images came out awesom!!

I ended up buying myself a great DSLR, took a bunch of classes, took every opportunity I could to go shoot with other photogs, trouble shooted (when I couldnt figure something out on my own) with other photogs that have been in the business for a long time, and learned photoshop!! Now I own a photography business Melissa J Thurber Photography!!

I have done a lot of work with models recently and enjoy EVERY minute of it!! I think every photograper has their thing and I have come to the conclusion that working with models is My thing!! It allows me to get creative and tell stories through my work that I can not do through family portraits and weddings!!

I am doing very little TF right now but if you have have that look that will fit perfect into a theme I want to work on then I will highly consider it!!
