I am Bruce Martin of BlindPhotosCom.

Photography is one of my passions. I am a retired Phtographer and Software Engineering Consultant. I have been a Photographer for 53 years, since my mother’s Brownie Box Camera was handed down to me. I was a Nature Photographer, Historical Photographer, Commercial Archivist, Vietnam Photographer, and, most recently, a Photographer of women and amateur models.

I Currently have more than 93,000 photos in my collection. I use a Canon EOS 50D Digital SLR, Master and Slave Flashes, Diffusers, and Gels. The CF memory card in my camera will hold up to 5,000 photos at a time. I upgrade my equipment of one type or another every month.

After going totally blind in 2004, and the death of my wife of 33 years, only 10 months later, I am finally back up to speed with my equipment. I switched from nature to modeling so I can hear my subject, know what they are doing, and where they are. I prefer models who want to control the shoot and just let me follow their lead so they are happy with the results and I can meet their expectations. I am extremely patient and don’t mind reshooting a location when expectations are not met. I can do indoor or outdoor shoots.

I have been seriously pursuing amateur models who want to build their portfolios or just want to add to their collections. For the opportunity to photographer models in various locals, I give each model DVD’s of the photos I take, sometime several thousand in a single day.

Because I am blind, I cannot drive. I am retired, and can go anywhere at anytime. I am intelligent, energetic, will climb through the forest, down cliffs to the beach, climb up on rocks, stand in water or on a log to accomplish a shot. I am afraid of few challenges that won't kill me. I eventually want to climb Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Hood, so photo hikes will suit me just fine. I walk on the Seaside Prom 9 miles a day at 3 mph. I am not slow to get around. I exercise everyday to stay fit.

The only thing I ask of my models, is that they look out for my safety, so I won't fall or damage my equipment.

I can easily travel by bus or train to many places in the Northwest.

I live in a condo at the beach in Seaside, so there are many potential shooting opportunities here and many events throughout the Summer. I have a guest room to save on hotel fees. I will give local references so everyone can be assured of their safety. I am well known in Seaside and my integrity is solid.

I am a passionate person and appreciate the passions of others.
