Hello everyone, welcome to my profile!

My name is Kia, but most know me as The Notorious K.I.A. I’m a fashion enthusiast and entrepreneur. I’ve been a wardrobe stylist for about 5 years now; I actually booked my first official shoot right her on Model Mayhem! Over the years I’ve nurtured and developed my craft into something that I really enjoy doing. From the beginning I knew that I didn’t just want to be a stylist, I wanted to be much more. Today I’m working on building my own personal brand that includes wardrobe styling as well as a few other things.

Recently I’ve expanded my portfolio/resume to include modeling. I’m looking to collab with creative, like-minded people here on Model Mayhem to assist in building my wardrobe styling portfolio as well as my modeling one. What’s even more awesomer (yes I made that word up) is that because I’m already a stylist there’s no need to book one, I can be the model as well as the stylist. I’m interested in all types of shoots, from edgy, avant garde to commercial/print.

I started my YouTube channel in the fall of 2011 after breaking my ankle and pretty much being restricted to the confines of my bedroom, and it’s pretty much been history ever since. Three years later my channel has grown into something I never would have imagined. What started out as an outlet during a difficult time has morphed into something I can not live without today. My first video - DIY Vintage Distressed High-Waisted Jean Shorts has over 600K views. I currently have 130K+ subscribers on Youtube and a whooping 6.4 million video views; to say I started from the bottom would be an understatement. My channel focuses on my love for fashion, style, and hair! Creatively I deliver the best content centered on DIYs (do it yourself), fashion inspiration, wardrobe styling ideas, and natural hair care & tutorials.

My YouTube channel has awarded me many great opportunities, because of this I was inspired to expand my portfolio/resume to include much more than just wardrobe styling. I’ve recently been introduced into the world of image consulting - the sister to wardrobe styling. I now work with new and emerging artist in assisting them in their image and brand. Due to the growing popularity of YouTube, many brands and companies look to YouTube influencers to promote and advertise their brand - a much cheaper alternative than celebrity endorsements. I’ve worked with many great brands including: Karmaloop, Hairfinity, Cream of Nature, and Lucky Mag.
