I am more of a nature photographer, good with birds, horticulture, and dogs but I am more and more interested in portraits. Most of my portrait ideas come from performance pieces I write. I do a lot of self-portrait work because I'm always available and it helps to improve my techniques.

I prepare thoroughly for a shoot, I only have time to do one once in a while, so I am very detail oriented. I feel like that is the professional process and I am always conscious of professionalism. I will direct you to my other work if you would like to see my composition skills. I push for further publication to help both parties, would you expect less?

I like odd, very artistic, high art portrait work. I like new angles to ordinary themes, like shooting a delphinium to look like a sky-scraper. I like the androgynous and testing the limits of social institutions.

I would say that shoots would be outdoors or in a public space, hidden spaces around the city. Only in special circumstances would I want to shoot with a muslin backdrop.
