My name is Emily and I recently trained as a makeup artist at West Thames College, however I would really like to be a model. When I was 13 I lived in New Zealand for 2 years and belonged to a modeling course where I was trained by Sharon Ellem-Bell who suggested I took part in a catwalk at the Canterbury Trade Show. There I modeled clothes made out of natural materials with other young models and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. When I moved back to England, my studies got in the way of my focus on modeling, however during my makeup course I was chosen to be a bodypainting model for IMATS where I was painted on stage then stood on a pedestal where I had to pose for the photographers. This experience renewed my interest in modeling and made me want to take up modeling as a profession. Also, by dealing with models on a regular basis within my course and doing their makeup/directing the photoshoots, I decided it was the right path for me.
