When Maryland native Kyle Bucklew was 11 years old, his father gave him his first —a Minolta SRT-101—and taught him how to use it. Kyle has been taking photos ever since. At first, photography was just a hobby for him. However, in recent years, it has become a passion, as he has spent more and more time taking pictures and researching photographic techniques.

These days, Kyle shoots with a Sony a700 DSLR and is most interested in portraiture, event, nature and wildlife photography. His most recent jobs include couples’ photo shoots and concerts, ranging from rock shows to operatic events. Between these events and his nature and wildlife photography, Kyle has traveled all over the United States to take pictures at such locations as New York, New York; Durham, North Carolina; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Baltimore, Maryland; Washington, DC; Chattanooga, Tennessee; Grafton, West Virginia (Tygart Lake National Park); San Francisco, California; Ocean City, Maryland; and Marmora, New Jersey. No matter where he is, however, or what type of photograph he is taking, Kyle tries to capture the mood and the true essence of the moment. In the future, he hopes to expand his portfolio to include wedding photography, sporting events, and various types of modeling photography.

Currently, Kyle is available for jobs in Maryland, Hagerstown and surrounding area. He works with color, sepia and black and white photography, and his photos can be viewed on this website and on his Facebook page.
