I have consistently described myself as an "amateur", meaning that I consider myself to be still learning, but my goal is high-quality art. Some photographers are interested in a wide variety of subjects - mountains, trees, puppy dogs; I am really only interested in the human subject, and especially the face. I like full toned photos, with deep shadows, and prefer shots with some emotional power. I also hope that everyone involved enjoys the process and welcome ideas that make the shoot more inventive and playful - I don't micromanage the model. So far I have done studio work with managed light primarily.
