Caitlyn​ Dixon is a Saskatchewan based fashion & bridal makeup artist. She began her journey after high school when she discovered that her passion for makeup, beauty and fashion could one day lead to a successful and fullfilling career. She attended Blanche Macdonald Centre in 2011 and graduated in 2012. During Caitlyn's time at Blanche MacDonald she volunteered over 150 hours at places like Curlique Beauty, YSL and Dior at Hudson's Bay. These experiences gave her the confidence, tools and skills to make it in the real world.

In the same month, Caitlyn was hired at MAC Cosmetics, a long time dream of hers, and made it as a finalist into the highly recognized IMATS competition called "Battle of the Brushes" in the Fall of 2012. You can find a video of the competition here.

Caitlyn spent a few more months in Vancouver after school before landing an apprenticeship with a highly sought after fashion makeup artist from Regina, Saskatchewan. The experience Caitlyn gained working under an established makeup artist was unparalled. She worked extensively with photographers, hairstylists & stylists in portfolio building, weddings, charities, events & shows. Caitlyn was chosen as a key makeup artist in 2013 and 2014 for Saskatchewan Fashion Week.

Caitlyn finished her apprenticeship in the fall of 2014 and began her journey as a freelance makeup artist. At the beginning of 2015, Caitlyn entered a competition through L'Oreal Paris called "The Brush Contest". Caitlyn successfully made it to top 50, and then top 5 through a long voting process. In March 2015, she competed nationally in Toronto at the Shangri La hotel where she placed first and won the title of "Canadian Finalist" in the international competition.

In May 2015, Caitlyn had the incredible opportunity of attending The 68th Annual Cannes Film Festival where she competed at an international level against 10 other makeup artists from around the world. While in Cannes Caitlyn was able to meet Eva Longoria, Barbara Palvin, Karlie Kloss, Soo Joo Park, Doutzen Kroes, Lara Stone, Michael Angel, Karim Rahman, Kristina Bazan etc. While attending the festival, Caitlyn and her fiance had the opportunity to walk the red carpet not once, but twice! She attended a film screening and spent a few days in the L'Oreal Penthouse Suite overlooking the beautiful french riviera! Caitlyn was featured on Etalk doing a "Get the Look" segment recreating Karlie Kloss' look from her May 13th appearance on the red carpet.

The finale was aired on youtube at www.thebrushcontest.com where you can see Caitlyn compete where she finishes top 3 in the world. Caitlyn worked alongside some of the biggest names in the fashion industry including Karlie Kloss, Barbara Palvin, Doutzen Kroes, and Lara Stone. Caitlyn had the honor of doing makeup on supermodel, Soo Joo Park. Caitlyn talked with Soo Joo about what it was like to work with makeup icon, Pat McGrath. If you watch closely, Soo Joo whispered to Caitlyn "I trust you" in the final episode of "The Brush".

As a makeup artist, Caitlyn's goal is to bring out the very best in each person that sits in her chair. She has a confidence that is clear to everyone which puts her clients at ease. She believes that every single person is beautiful and deserves to feel it and see it!
