It's a beautiful thing to capture life through photography. One day when you dig up old photographs you'll remember the feeling that you had when the image was captured. You'll take comfort knowing that the memories and emotions are forever at rest on paper and cannot be forgotten.

To me, a photograph is a painting done without a brush ... or a drawing rendered without a pencil.

As unexpected as it may be, my inspiration stems from the lack of photos captured of me and my siblings as kids. Now that I look back and reflect on the past, I realize that there was so much that I wanted to share with other people; so many memories that are not currently shared because I didn't have that pencil or paint brush.

Photography should be viewed as more than a fascination... it's a way for us to communicate when words can't say enough. I reveal a small part of my character in each photograph I take, and if a capture is worth 1,000 words, then I think I've written several novels about my life through my photography. I hope you are ready to do the same.
