About Me

I am a UK based artist who loves to express herself through photography, dancing, modeling, painting and handcrafting. I enjoy projects as I find it fascinating how several people can get creative together. For me every single person at a shoot is important as everyone contributes their part to the final image. Be it the make up artist, lighting team, director, Extras, model or photographer, they are all important to make sure the wanted result gets realised in the end. I am a teamplayer and always give 100% to get the most out of a shoot. I love travelling and have travelled to different countries to be part of projects before. I am also a bellydancer teacher and performer.

Within the last 10 years I worked as Model with several photographers on different projects, exhibitions, portfolio work and test shoots.

As a Model I have been published in the Jersey and Bristol Evening Post in 1999 and 2000. I have had several photographs as a photographer published in various books between 2005 and now and I am a bellydance teacher, performing in Restaurants and Festivals.

I closed my Photograhy business Sandy Maya's Photography in April 2013 as I prefer to be engaged in more artwork such as painting which requires a lot of free time.I still photograph and am actively selling my photos on stock photography sites such as Shutterstock and Dreamstime
