I have been calling myself a photographer since 2006, when I first started taking holiday photos for families. Since then, I have shot a few small weddings, corporate events, and many more families. This year, I will start my first school portrait contract--for myself, not for a corporate school portrait studio. By joining Model Mayem, I would like to gain some experience working with actual models. I have never worked with a model, and I feel doing so would help sharpen my skills, not just my shooting skills, but the inter-personal skills of working with subjects and helping them feel more comfortable in front of the lens.
