Von Oneil started his career in the corporate world as an Information Technology Specialist in some of the most prestigious banking institutions in the country where he was entrusted to develop security programs for database and networking systems to preserve its integrity and to protect from malicious threats and internet malwares.

After his stint as an IT professional, he knew there was something bigger in-store for him, he co-founded several technology start – ups such as Bidtraveler.com (Online Travel Auction funded by Sequoia Capital backed company – Sequoia Capital funded companies such as Google, Yahoo and Apple) and Greenbook.ph (the first school-based social media networking site in the Philippines exclusive for La Sallians).

On the lighter side, Von is also known by his friends and contemporaries as a great Chef for his Asian – Mediterranean fusion cuisine – his breaded chicken in honey mustard is the all time best seller!
How did he land in photography?

Von started as a hobbyist turned into sports photographer as he covers the UAAP Sports for the De La Salle Green Archers where he met his first true mentor, fellow Lasallian and award winning photographer Winston Baltasar during the much-coveted La Salle – Ateneo Basketball game at the historic Araneta Center in Quezon City.

He was blessed to have been mentored by the best in the industry - in one of the parties sponsored by Winston, he accidentally met Doc Marlon Pecjo (one of the leading fashion photographer) who offered him an apprenticeship program to cover the celebrated fashion at its finest. Since then, he has covered many famous celebrities, designer brands, fashion magazines and events such as FHM, Mega, Oxygen and the recently launched Blackbook sponsored by the GMA Artist Center at the Republiq Resorts World.
