Dear Mar, comes from the love of hand written letters. The anticipation of getting a letter in the mail is alluring. But the whole idea that it’s handwritten is what I love most. Nowadays we have email, texting, video chatting, fax machines, and phones so there’s almost no need for handwritten letters to communicate anymore. But I want my line to be like the love you receive from a hand written letter. When someone is waiting for the mail, that’s how I want someone to feel like when they’re waiting for the lights to come on during my fashion show. When they finally read every little word it’ll be like the first time they are seeing all my garments when they come through the runway. Then when they reread it again they’ll be shopping for those garments at the stores. Finally when they bring the garment home it’ll be tucked away in their closet like a hidden love letter in a box beneath their bed. Then every time they wear one of my garments they’ll get the feeling of re-reading that handwritten letter all over again: giddy with excitement, fascination, but most of all, loved. I am most inspired by my favorite artist, Jason Reeves. My passion all starts from him.
