About Me

INTRODUCTION

I absolutely believe all creativity stems from the same source, thus an artist will use whatever medium available to express him or herself.
My purpose is to create art.
For years I’ve been immersed with sculpting, oil painting and photography. Art. Not glamor photography. Hooters/ Glamour/ Cheese Cake/ is not for me. There’s no emotional truth to it. None. You’re a human being, not a Barbie Doll.

MY PHILOSOPHY

Why do we spend time with art? To be moved. In my estimation that requires a model to portray an emotion. To provoke a response on the part of a viewer.
But as artists: model and photographer, we have to be working towards something together. Finding a truth. Expressed through pose -- captured through lens at precisely the right moment -- to share, create, then capture a reality.
That’s the art.
Like a chord in music, but I digress.

ON NUDITY

When one is uniform, be it military, clergy, etc... they’re part of a group, and throughout human history (usually) not responsible as an -- individual -- for their actions. A nude, as art, is much like this. Strange, but true. It’s how we identify with sensuality. We identify with the eyes. The body. The pose. Lighting and camera are the tools to capture this.

ON PORNOGRAPHY

Pornography is simple enough, right? Vagina equals erection. For me, that’s too easy. Not art. That’s not to say there’s no place for it. There is. Yet, the vulgarity of pornography is when an individual is portrayed as a product for sale -- as opposed to living, breathing human beings whom have a sexual side. Big difference.

ON ART

All this being said, my purpose is to create art. To have fun and make money.
The ‘intimate’ or ‘erotic’ moments? We’ve seen it. What’s before that? The terror of a first kiss? I want to depict the fragile moments. Delicate or broken moments. After all, life is duality.
Emotions on the flipside of flagship experiences. Do you feel pride or shame after an absolutely fulfilling sexual experience? One you ‘swore you’d never do’? Shameful, but fun. Longing. Loss. Desire. Fulfillment. Regret?
What are your eyes like when you’ve let go? When you’re in what Carl Jung would call the flow state? That’s what’s real. That’s what I want to see.

IN CLOSING

For me, I’m interested in working with bold, creative people. Sometimes with a purpose. Other times for the journey.
At best, I hope one will look back a hundred years from now and say ‘I wonder who they were? I wonder what they were thinking? What haunting eyes.’
