John McCabe attended Michigan State University, graduating in 1989 with a degree in telecommunications. Shortly after graduation John wrote and directed his first short film called Murder 101 which won first place at the Michigan State Film Festival. He then moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the film industry.

John landed his first job in the advertising department of TriStar Pictures. During his 22 years in show business he worked on advertising campaigns for Columbia Pictures, Focus Features, Lionsgate, Universal Pictures, Rouge Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Gramercy Pictures, Orion Pictures, and IMAX. He also wrote and directed another short film called Sink or Swim which premiered at the Palm Springs International Film Festival where it won the Audience Award for Best Short Film.

Recently, John has moved to Atlanta and has brought his knowledge and experience with him.

He is now pursuing his true passion of photography.
