Most of my life I was searching for what was going to make me happy. I started school majoring in Youth and Music Ministry so that I could do what I love and help others at the same time. As I began to explore my talents I found that there were other areas of art I was skilled in.
When I moved to Chicago I fell into the makeup industry. I worked and was trained by Bliss Spa and Sila Cosmetics at Bloomingdales on Michigan Avenue where I was the counter manager for each line. I then missed my family and friends and decided to make a new journey back to a familiar place.
As I found myself back in Southern Illinois I wasn't sure what I was going to do. I continued as a freelance artist for Stila Cosmetics until I was discovered byMake Up For Ever and began a new life of constant travel training stores and other Account Executives on the skill of true makeup artistry.
It just took about three or four years before the travel was too much. I felt, once again, that I was missing out on my family and friends because of the constant travel. So I left Make Up For Ever to go back to school for Cosmetology. I had the honor of interning at HQ and Company then worked at Extremities Hair and Tanning after graduating.
Now it is time to start a new chapter in my life. I finally have the chance to see my family and friends more than I have in a long time. Through their help I have opened Renew Salon Studio and would love to invite you to join this life journey with me.
