About Me

I'm a working gaffer/lighting director for small motion picture projects and I love how light and shadows playing on a human being reveal beauty, mystery, emotion and story, whether the images are still or moving.

Art and the technical ability to realize it are my aspirations.

My inspiration comes from the old masters of light and shadow, especially Rembrandt, Vermeer, da Vinci and Caravaggio. Among my modern artist heroes are cinematographers Néstor Almendros, ASC and TC Christensen, ASC and still photographer Jake Garn.
