I have been painting...off and on...all my life.

As much as I enjoy working live with models, I cannot often afford this and will work mostly from photographs.
I tend towards an illustrative style: I like my paintings to suggest a story, which the viewer may invent as he or she likes.
In the past when working with models I would most likely begin by shooting reference photos for a particular image...once the piece has progressed to a certain point I would ask the model back for the finishing touches. More often than not I would see an unplanned pose that triggered a series of ideas which I would follow up on later. But...because I live in a forgotten corner of a forgotten state, I find that nearby models are few and far between and I lack the funds to bring them in from more civilized climes. Therefore I am also very interested in finding models that I can work with on line: I send a sketch, the model sends a photo and so on until I have the reference material necessary to do the painting.
I have retired and am painting full time. My goal is to make art until my last breath and, I hope, leave something behind that will, if even for a moment, enrich somebody's day.
I will gladly trade paintings for modelling time.
