Since I was a kid, I have loved art & photography. Often daydreaming, escaping my world into the paintings and photographs of various artist and photographers. Vicariously living through each one. Reflecting back , I remember how my imagination seemed to transcend by each image that I gazed upon, leaving in its’ wake the sensation of every stimulated sense. Today, the same feeling is revived when I think of portraits. I feel that portraiture photography is a shrine to the beauty and magnificence of the soul, personifying the qualities of self-love and empowerment that we all seek.

As a child, I often thought that I had a pretty good eye for photography. That axiom was further reinforced through validating words from family and friends. Yet growing up, I had a long love affair sketching still life images using graphite pencils. In my teens I started using watercolors, oil paints, colored pencils, and oil pastel as a catalyst for self-expression. But it wasn’t until college that photography emerged and revealed itself as my true passion.

From darkroom to digital, I have embraced many photographic styles including abstract and commercial as well as architectural and portraiture. With portraitures, the skill to illuminate my subject’s soul and reveal their true and innocent personality, is an innate ability that I have learn to perfect. This is what I strive to portray and exhibit within my images. A vision of someone great, a vision of someone amazing, of someone confident, of someone prolific, the quintessential image of self-love, determination, self-respect and above all self-worth! A revolutionary, a visionary, a man, a woman, a human the communality we all share.
