About Me

update: 2-24-2012:

with the US and jewish military dictators infiltrating every inch of the world and stirring up violent conflict...all focused on the ridiculous joel rosenberg interpretation of the bible battle of gog and magog! i am unfortunately encouraged to focus most of my attention on social-economic revolution!

you may visit my other mm site and my very preliminary website to get more information:

hello,

my name is arthur. i have begun this site to emphasize a formal style, theme, and movement in photography and eventually the entire art world:

"romantic impressionism"

i am not the first to use this term and i especially do not wish to be the "official expert" in the style. it is actually meant for everyone! yes, i, and this movement, will encourage you and everyone to experience thinking in this way and then creating some images in this way...at least once :)

this movement is a reminder for us all, and an emphasis for the way the universe really is:

all things are infinitely inter-connected...blended...constantly changing

and all existence is a blend of the material, form, and spirit, energy.

the sun is the most important source of energy influencing our lives and what we see. there is no black and white, even in a so called black and white image...all things have infinite variations of color, light, shadow, energy, and spirit.

impressionism celebrates the sun and its light!!!! and how it interacts with all things, human, other life, and environment...and the truth that there are no edges, only the blending between forms and space...space of course is never a vacuum, it is still matter and energy...

if we view the sharp edge of a steel and glass building, our first impression is that there is a very definite edge. but really, if we look deep into that edge we will find molecules of air blending with molecules of steel and glass. there will be a vast multitude of energies from the sun and wind interacting with the edge and passing through it...that is only what we know of presently.

the situation is even more blended with humans and other life forms.

and humans have emotion and ideas and dreams...imagination.

we can sense these in all things we experience.

a photograph can capture them...and amazingly...stop change somewhat.

so...

the impressionist aspect is the blending of things in a scene. it is an examination of the light and the infinite colors, shadows and form.

the romantic aspect, in art, is the illustration of spirit and emotion in a scene.

i personally like to add 2 secondary emphasis in the romantic aspect: actual romantic feelings between humans, and the capture of beauty, whether it is very slight and hidden, or dominant in a scene.

there are already vast numbers of photographers and models who have done wonderful work that can easily be termed romantic impressionism. so i will begin lists of images that i consider representing this style.

if there are others who enjoy this style, i welcome you to join as friends. and rather than just have friends, i will invite everyone to help create more specific lists that might have other secondary emphasis. for example: maybe there will be an "outdoor" emphasis, studio, indoor non-studio.

nudity will not present an issue. it is what we are. but the key is to present EMOTION and spirit rather than just the form!

my personal interest is in the beauty of human form in the midst of natural and architectural beauty. and i enjoy the emotion of a person dreaming or imagining their favorite romantic experiences...and the spirit of adventure across land and sea.

i plan to organize several workshop tours this next year which will travel to some of the greatest scenery in the world including:

lake powell, AZ/UT and neighboring antelope canyon and kaiparowits plateau, grand canyon, and monument valley.

paris, france, including the normandy coast

the isle of skye, scotland

the greek islands

iceland

the cape verde islands

french polynesia

so far, most of my recent photography has been entirely oriented towards my personal visions for a particular character, stargirl, that i imagine. but now i will begin to orient towards this general theme of...

romantic impressionism

i look forward to meeting all of you who share this way of being and emphasis in photography and modeling!

thank you for visiting this site,

arthur
